About the brewery Featuring Ginrei Gassan Sake brewery, a family-owned brewery from Yamagata prefecture. This hand-crafted sake brewery was established since 1700 and had served the 8th emperor in the Edo period.
For 319 years, Ginrei Gassan sake brewery continued to brew the finest sake, striving to better as the years went by. Blessed with a natural snowy climate, Ginrei Gassan sake brewery uses underground water from melted snow that gushes out after 400 years.
This water has a refreshing and mild flavor, which results in Ginrei Gassan's sake characteristics- gentle yet deep flavor. The brewery also uses homegrown Yamagata rice named ‘Dewa San San’.
