The name "UZU" is created from the sound of the sea waves by the Kan Nihon kai Sake Brewery. Kan Nihon Kai Sake Brewery brews the UZU labels with an image that the sake will melt in your mouth in an exciting manner like 'whirlpools' after each sip.
This Kan Nihon Kai UZU Yamada-nishiki Junmai Ginjyo Sake has an elegant fragrance and the natural taste of rice. Made using Yamadanishiki rice with a polishing rate of 55% to brew this sake, resulting in a light-weight, medium aroma yet full-bodied complex taste when savoured. Complements well with raw food and cold dishes like jellyfish and edamame tofu.

Nihonkai Shuzo faces the Japan Sea in Shimane Prefecture, accordingly, their sakes feature a subtle salinic component that tends to complement the fresh seafood. Kan Nihonkai Nodo Guro Junmai Ginjyo was brewed at low temperatures using rice sourced from Shimane and Mitsumi groundwater. Recommended pairing with dry ramen, tonkatsu pork rice and tempura.

This Kan Nihon Kai UZU Hattan-Nishiki Junmai Ginjyo has a rich aroma light taste with mild acidity in the after-taste. It uses Hattan Nishiki rice with a polishing rate of 55% and pure spring water from Shimane to brew this sake, hence resulting in its clean earthy notes. Making it an enjoyable smooth sake. Recommended pairing with Ikura, fried fish and tonkotsu flavour food.
